Mr Knowles: ASSOCIATE ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL – QUALITY OF EDUCATION
Since joining Horizon in 2014, I have worked in several roles and am now Associate Assistant Principal, where I lead the College’s provision for Initial Teacher Education and Early Career Teachers. As both the Induction Tutor and ITT Co-ordinator, I collaborate closely with colleagues to design and deliver bespoke CPD programs, supported by high quality resources from external partners, including University College London. Additionally, I am History Subject Lead for Exchange Teacher Training and provide subject-specific guidance to the Barnsley Primary History Champions group. I also chair the Governing Committee at a local primary school.
Mrs J. Robinson: ASSISTANT LEADER FOR EARLY CAREER TEACHERS
I joined Horizon in 2016 as an English Teacher and shortly after that, I became Assistant Subject Leader for English. While at Horizon, I have also had the opportunity to support the development of a College reading strategy, and work within a pastoral team as an Assistant Head of Year. In my current role as Assistant Lead for Early Career Teachers, I am thrilled to be supporting and developing trainees and ECTs from the beginning of their careers.
