Last week we celebrated National Careers Week and were pleased to welcome a variety of employers and alumni into College to speak to our students about roles within their industries.

We were joined by the BBC where our students got the opportunity to record a short film and learn about the endless possibilities in the media industry. Our Careers Cafe was very lively with a range of visitors from Natural England, Ardagh Glass and Stagecoach just to mention a few!!

Students were invited to a range of workshops from construction to interview skills to support their Post 16 journeys.

Our staff group created Job Profiles that were discussed in lessons and displayed on screens around school, our students found these very interesting and they sparked engaging conversations about the range of career routes our staff have experienced.

We squeezed a International Womens Day celebration in too by displaying a range of positive role models from very different industries for our students to learn more about.

The Careers team delivered assemblies to year groups and our famous ‘Malsons Mallet’ made a come back which gave our students a giggle!!

We would like to thank our visitors for giving their time to support our Careers Week, our students have given amazing feedback and the buzz around careers across the week was amazing.
