Well Done to the 5 students who have received this Terms Principals Award.
Year 7 Winner – Sophia C – Sophia is a true ‘Positive Role Model’ and a credit to Horizon CC. She was the first student to achieve a gold award certificate in the whole of College. She has 100% attendance and over 350 achievement points. She is well liked and respected by her peers who see her as a great asset for their form. She put in a superb application for the Ambassador role. She has been involved in extra-curricular activities including the Y7 cross country team and Fusion dance. We are so very proud of everything Sophia has achieved.
Year 8 Winner – Sarah A – Sarah has been consistently in the top 10% of all students at every data collection point from the start of year 7. She is a role model in terms of her attitude inside and outside lessons. Sarah gets involved in extra curricular activities, including most recently the poetry writing competition, where she wrote a moving piece about war and remembrance. Well done Sarah.
Year 9 Winner – Alex D – Alex is a Year 9 student who demonstrates a real desire to succeed, representing Horizon in a mature and consistent way. He was the first boy in the year group to achieve Silver Award and was extremely keen to become a Year 9 Ambassador. This is a role he takes seriously, having the best interests of the year group at heart. Well done Alex, you are a valued member of our year group.
Year 10 Winner – Casey Mc – Casey really stands out as being a Year 10 Student who excels in all aspects of life at Horizon. Casey works incredibly hard in lessons; he was E&A ranked number 1. Casey also embraces wider school life by being a highly regarded member of the Horizon Dance Family! In addition to this, Casey is a very warm and friendly young man who is a supportive friend to his peers. Well done Casey!
Year 11 Winner – Hilary D – Hilary has worked extremely hard in preparing for the Y11 Mocks. She has been extremely focused and dedicated to a revision plan and has been rewarded with excellent results showing great improvement. She gives 100% effort to all lessons and puts in the required work at home to complete home learning and revision resources. She is keen to achieve a great set of results in the summer and we are sure that with continued effort, she will achieve this. Well Done Hilary!
