For the last 2 weeks, both Year 7 and Year 8 have been involved in “Climate Change Week” in their science lessons. They have been studying the causes and signs of climate change. Their practical work has been based around investigating the suitability of alternative fuels, and whether solar panels would be a viable option to power our school.
Year 7 were also visited by Claire Argent. She came and spoke to them about her journey from school to her career in STEM. Her presentation featured her interest in marine animals from a young age, and the different types of work experience and projects she has been involved in. At the end of her presentation pupils were tested on their knowledge of native marine life.
