Our STEM Club spend all day at Sheffield University. The visit was planned to test the wind turbines they made during Professor Fairclough’s visit earlier in the month. STEM club had their second visit from Professor Patrick Fairclough from Sheffield University on Monday 17th June. Congratulations to the Under 15’s Girls team who we were crowned South Yorkshire Under 15’s Girls Football Champions. It was a hard fought game where we came out 3-2 winners. Goals were scored by Louise, an own goal and Ellie. Players of the match were Eve and Nayer who were impressive defensively.

On Wednesday 23rd May a team of four Year 8 students attended the Salters’ Institute Festival of Chemistry at the University of Sheffield chemistry department. During the day they were given the responsibility to carry out investigations like real chemists. They used their problem solving skills while working together as a team.
